In the round arrangement I made today, using a pumpkin as my vase, as well as 6 other different types of flowers/leaves included. To start, my pumpkin was carved beforehand but following that I first cut my floral foam to fit the shape and size to be placed in the pumpkin, inside the pumpkin a clear plastic liner was used to separate the foam and pumpkin. This prevents the pumpkin from rotting. As creating my arrangement I first decided to place my leather leaf first cut them with my sheers then put them in a "t" form on each side of the pumpkin (creating the rim/skirt to cover the edge of pumpkin.) Next I cut my solidaster to fit into the arrangement (I cut all of my flowers and leaves about the same height as the pumpkin) the solidaster were placed in 3 spots creating a triangle shape. Following my stem yellow pom pom mums were cut and bunched in three... in the center of the arrangement. The stem red pom pom mums were placed just under the stem yellow pop pop mums, creating the colors to fan down to the bottom of the arrangement. the orange stem pop pop mums were placed under the stem red pom pom mums just a little lower than the red ones placed. The branches of seeded eucalyptus were cut and placed in major gaps giving the arrangement a more autumn/fall look. With the final last touches, the left over leather leaf stems and solidasters were used to fill in any gaps and openings in the top of pumpkin.
