Description of arrangement:
The Hogarth arrangement was created from a design bowl and floral foam. This arrangement was to look like an "s" like shape, due to how the bell of Ireland were placed.
Material List:
The flowers used to make the arrangement were 2 stems of bells of Ireland,3 stems of leather leaf, 3 stemmed carnations, carnations (yellow and orange/peach), 2 stems of solid aster, 1 stem of eucalyptus, 2 purple stems of wax flowers, the floral design bowl and one block of floral foam, and shears which I cut the flowers with.
Steps of arrangement:
1. To start I added the stem of bells of Ireland creating the "s" shape look to the arrangement by one of the stems of bells of Ireland making the curve towards the arrangement, from the back of the foam. With the other stem of bells of Ireland I placed it in the foam on the opposite side facing down.
2. Next the leather leaf was placed to hide the edges of the design bowl.
3. Following I added a yellow carnation in the center followed by the 3 stemmed carnations, which were cut smaller with shears placed around the yellow carnation.
4.I then added eucalyptus to fill the arrangement.
5. The solidaster was added and cut to fill the center and back of the foam.
6. Finally the wax flowers were cut with floral sheers and added to the last gaps in the arrangement also creating texture and height to the arrangement.

Critique:
I liked the variety of different types of flowers, in the arrangement. I didn't enjoy
the type of arrangement (shape/placing flowers were set) however it was a interesting arrangement to put together.
Summary:
This arrangement was important to learn due to learning new styles and types of arrangements to work with. We also worked with a new flower that was new to the class which was bells of Ireland, I learned that all flower stems are very different from others and can be more fragile.
